OOC Information
NAME; Noah
AGE; 22
OTHER CHARACTERS PLAYED; N/A | Left a few weeks back on account of just needing a break, looking to start fresh.

IC Information
CHARACTER NAME; Rider
AGE; Appears mid/late-20’s.
CANON; Fate/Stay Night
CANON POINT; Heaven’s Feel Route. 11th Day, after a morning talk with Shirou. (After Rin an Ilya have begun living with them)
FAMILY TYPES;
Dark Area | Rider ‘s true identity is that of Medusa, a monster of Greek mythology, one that takes almost zero personal issue with killing as a means to an end. Saying there’s some darkness in that woman is a bit of an understatement, even though she is not necessarily evil.

Metal Empire | Cold. Calculating. Loner. All of these so far describe Rider to a T. A strategic fighter and one of the most aloof people you will ever meet, Rider is only outwardly pleasant to less than a handful of people.

Unknown | She’s a woman that you are never sure which side she’s actually on. She doesn’t play for good or for evil, rather she plays for whatever benefits her master the most in the end.

APPEARANCE;
For reference.

Rider is a tall and curvy woman with pale skin and very long lavender hair. Her eyes are her most incredible feature, being described as too beautiful for any human to possess, with their gray-crystalline quality. However, being Medusa, of course she naturally keeps these eyes hidden away underneath a purple visor that, in the Grail War was a sealing bounded field, in Terminal Tokyo acts as little more than a blindfold. While not actually blind, Rider does make her way without relying on the sense of sight, instead having her other senses compensate. She mimics the mannerisms that come with someone with sight, so only those who notice the subtleties would be able to tell.

Rider’s clothes are very simplistic: a short black dress, black sleeves, and black thigh-high boots, with purple metallic accents. This makes her casual clothes look all the more conservative, consisting of a black turtleneck , jeans, glasses, a purple-blue hair ribbon, and a pair of glasses. She also carries with her a spike-like dagger attached to a chain with a loop on the end that will have no effective use in the Digital World.

PERSONALITY;
A creature from the time of the Gods, Rider is truly the Gorgon Medusa. Unlike her sisters, Stheno and Euryale, Medusa was mortal, fated to grow older and taller while her sisters forever remained young, and was cursed with the Mystic Eyes of Petrifaction. This made Medusa not only an outcast within her own family, but an outcast in the world, unable to look upon any creature without turning them to stone. And Stheno and Euryale would bully their sister, teasing her for her height and age, further cementing Medusa’s own isolation. She became quiet and withdrawn, keeping her own face hidden at all times. Poseidon was one of the few to ever show her any kindness, granting Medusa a Pegasus, but other Gods were far from his example. It was the betrayal of the Gods and humans that finally broke Medusa, her own bitterness and resentment towards her sisters and the world leading her to kill any man that entered their island. Years of slaughtering men transformed her into the monster of legend, and eventually killed her own sisters in her savage bloodlust. Death at the hands of the demigod Perseus proved to be Medusa’s true release from her tortured life, as it was only then she realized the time with her sisters were the memories she cherished most.

When called upon for the 5th Holy Grail War, Medusa had no wish of her own to be granted. She heeded the call of a Master who was like her.

Silent, sultry, vigilant, Rider is an incredibly hard woman to read. Often times quiet, with her eyes and emotions hidden from the world, it is easy to dismiss Rider as just cold and calculating. Of course, this is exactly the impression she intends to give to her enemies. She has absolutely no qualms in killing as a means to an end: killing other Servants, killing Masters, draining and killing innocent bystanders to fuel her Prana, since her Master at the time, Matou Shinji, was incapable of providing it himself. She won’t kill out of anger or without purpose, it just so happens that purpose usually relies on the benefits to her Master. Rider is deadly in a fight; though she is at a disadvantage because of her Master, Rider instead uses the battlefield to her advantage. She can keep her calm and formulate strategy in the most heated of battle situations, and knows exactly when to make a sound retreat.

What is most projected is Rider’s strong sense of duty as a Servant and her undying loyalty to her true Master, Matou Sakura. This is surprising, given her outwardly cold and dismissive appearance. When it was decided that Shinji would take Sakura’s place in the War, Rider begrudgingly accepted her Master’s decision, since Sakura did not want to participate in the War herself. Though Shinji was her new Master, Rider held no love for the boy whatsoever, seeing him as predatory and vile, someone she was forced to hold her strength back for even when Shinji tortured both Sakura and herself. But nonetheless, she remained loyal and obeyed Shinji’s every command…until Shinji made the mistake of threatening Sakura’s life. Dropping all pretenses, Rider purposefully gave Shirou an advantage and came to her true Master’s protection with no hesitation, switching sides immediately since Shinji had no other Command Seals to use against her.

With Sakura in the safety of Emiya Shirou, Sakura’s lover, Rider is able to drop her defenses somewhat, at least in Shirou’s perspective. Though she still won’t smile very often. Rider is actually quite pleasant and polite to those she is friendly with (though she openly states she will kill should Sakura ever give the word), her main reason for her initial hostility being Shinji’s order. She’ll engage in small talk if approached, even if her responses are usually short, blunt, and to the point. She'll continue a conversation so long as she has something to say. With a bit of a morbid perspective, Rider can seem awkward and unsure of how to respond to what would be considered mundane situations. Though these times are few and far between, and she denies the “cuteness” of it all.

As Rider, Medusa only wishes to protect her Master. To Rider, Sakura is the most important person and she’ll do anything to keep her Master safe and happy, even if it puts her own life at risk.

SAMPLES
FIRST PERSON; An oooold D_M But again old so here’s her being forced to answer an interview.

If you could make any reality at all, what would you make?
Powers to remake the world belong to only the Gods. I myself have no desire to assume the role. Should my Master command me, it would only to her specification. Either way, the question poses no relevance.

What would you say is your greatest strength?
Speed. My skill in riding has the highest rank among all of the Servants in participation. No other can defeat me in terms of speed and maneuverability in a mounted race. [Any participant would already know all of this because Rider.]

If you were given the option to stay in the Digital World or return to your home, which would you choose? Why?
The answer depends on the situation. Should there be no reason, I would leave immediately. This world holds no attachments for me, and even if it did, my role binds me in contract to the Holy Grail War. Were my master here and chose this world instead, then I would remain.

THIRD PERSON;
Again, the dagger merely formed a dent into the bark before falling limply to the ground. With a hard pull on the chain, the dagger flew wildly backward, its owner catching it effortlessly in the palm of her hand. It has struck the same point three times, and yet the result is the same.

Has the blade has dulled so far that it cannot penetrate something so simple? Rider looked down at the nail-like blade, her thumb caressing the tip, gentle enough that under any normal circumstances, it still would have drawn blood.

’Or, have I been rendered so weak?’

Rider hasn't been in this world for even a half day, and already she had determined the limits that had been placed upon her exceeded anything she could have anticipated. The Servant had been completely cut off from Prana, its use, her sense. In fact, all of her senses have dulled, her strength had waned, all to that of a feeble human.

She was completely cut off from the world she knew. And yet she remained attached to this world instead of fading.

“Master? What's wrong?” That small creature that had been at her side since she left that room. Wormmon, as it called itself, and he had pledged himself to her as though she were the Magi. It was an uncomfortable feeling for her.

“I will not instruct you again, do not call me by that title.”

“But M-“ Wormmon couldn't see the look the Servant was giving him through that visor, nor did he want to. “Rider sounds unnatural. Are you sure that's what you want me to call you?”

“Yes.” She answered his question in a single word. It was all that was necessary. “Let's go.”

With a pivot of the heel, Rider was already walking off before Wormmon realized what had just happened.

“Wait for me!”
